Overview
Panic Inc. partnered with me to build a pipeline of Latino developers creating games for the Playdate handheld console, one of indie gaming’s most distinctive and design-forward platforms. The partnership connected Latin American developers directly with Panic’s development team and helped bring Latino voices to a platform that prides itself on creative originality.
What I Did
I produced virtual events that introduced Latino developers to the Playdate platform and facilitated direct engagement with Panic’s development team. Developers learned the platform’s SDK and development process firsthand, lowering the barrier to entry for Latin American creators and opening a new creative outlet for the community.
The result was a direct content creation pipeline: Latin American developers brought into Panic’s ecosystem, building original games for one of the most creatively ambitious handheld platforms in the indie space.
Outcomes
- Latino developers introduced to the Playdate SDK and development process through direct engagement with Panic’s team
- Original games and content created by Latin American developers for the Playdate platform
- Multiple Latin American-developed games featured on Playdate following the partnership
